This package provides the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver for the supported notebook models and operating systems. Its setup information file does contain driver support for the ID you posted. So, we have to find the right driver that has support for the ID you posted. If the driver doesn't install, uninstall the old version and try installing this version again. The Intel ME installer detects the Intel NUC capabilities and installs the relevant drivers.

So I suspect there is some SW related issue that is causing the install to think the computer does not meet minimums.Īny idea on how to find what is causing the install to fail?
#INTEL MEI DRIVER WINDOWS 10 ASUS DRIVERS#
It seems that it is unlikely the problem is hardware related since HP has put up W7 drivers for download and it runs perfectly fine in the W10 boot. Shortly after starting to install it comes back with the error message: 'This computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install the software'. Going to the hp.com driver support page for the m7-k211dx, I downloaded and installed sp66098. I beleive that tracks back to the Intel MEI - Management Engine Interface driver. Under properties/Details/Hardware IDs that shows VEN 8086 and DEV 9CBA. Checking properties says that no driver is installed for this device. In Win 7 the Device Manager shows a little yellow error exclamation point at a device called 'PCI Simple Communications Controller'. That has completed and works just fine - except for 1 little issue. Been using it a little over a year and as far as I know all works correctly.Īm making the system dual boot to a 2nd OS which is Win 7-64 Ultimate.

System is Envy m7-k211dx that came with Win 8.1 and was automaticaly upgraded to Win 10.

Any other driver issues, please see Windows Driver Solutions on this site.(Hope I'm in the correct section for this question).
